DAWN OF SHAILESH PUFFWAY:

This journey took off when Shaileshbhai came to baroda in 2012. In his initial days, he had a stall of bhel. But he has this typical entrepreneur quality of denying to stay at one position and wanting to grow his reach further. That’s when he started to dig in more and came up with an idea to open a stall of puff. Not just any ordinary stall but the one that can actually put a fullstop to people’s hunt for a perfect tasty street food place in baroda.

HIS JOURNEY:

“When I started I had 45 rupees in pocket and no other resources”, says Shaileshbhai. But the zeal to feed people was high.

He first opened a stall near polytechnic college and continued there for 3-4 months. Later he changed and opened it at natubhai circle, near ICIC bank and there he sold puffs for 5 years and then decided to open this stall in the heart of baroda- Alkapuri.;

His first puff was for rupees 10 and he had 150 customers on his first day.

Gradually he took inspiration from around and extended his menu with new and different puffs according to his customers taste. From that 150 customers on day 1, to today, Shailesh Puffway has 4.7 ratings on google and numbers of positive reviews. He said that this was possible with the support of his father and family and his vision to create something new from the ordinary.

His business approach:

The very unique thing Shailesh bhai did prior to start his business was to RESEARCH. Yes, he mentions that he searched his targeted area and audience which nowadays even huge businesses fail to do. He intensively tried to know what barodians like more, what are the things they like to eat, the kind flavours they prefer etc. He visited and tasted different already existing famous street food in baroda and analysed them. And all this detailed search for a simple puff stall. You surely didn’t expect this, did you? But this is what makes him deliver the exact flavours that barodians crave.

His future plans:

Shaileshbhai expects to increase his business more than what it is today in near future. He now plans to make his stall into a shop to level up his business and is even looking for a place now. He also has a vision to create franchises all over vadodara and even in other cities if he gets the desired response.
